Furuno Electric Company has found that some FM-8900S VHF radiotelephones may contain a defect that exhibits symptoms that are described below. 1. What units are affected?
   Please refer to the attached list of FM-8900S that are affected.

2. What is the defect?
   Over-air Interference may occur on voice communication between VHF radiotelephones that are within 0.5 Nautical miles of each other on adjacent VHF channels.
   
   
3. What should I do if my FM-8900S’s Serial Number is found to have this defect?
   Please contact your supplier of the unit, i.e., local representatives or FURUNO subsidiaries and distributors, and let them know that you have an FM-8900S that is listed on the attached list.
