FURUNO ELECTRIC CO., LTD. (headquartered in Nishinomiya, Japan, President: Mr. Yukio Furuno) announces that its Singaporean subsidiary RICO (PTE) LTD, changes name to FURUNO SINGAPORE PTE LTD effective on the 2nd of April 2015.

Since its establishment in 1970, RICO (PTE) LTD has conducted sales and aftermarket services for the shipping industry in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and Bangladesh. RICO (PTE) LTD joined the FURUNO group in 2010 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of the group in September 2014. The name change aims to increase exposure both domestically and internationally as well as to promote the excellent service that the FURUNO brand stands for.
FURUNO SINGAPORE will continue selling FURUNO products for the shipping and fishing industry as well as offering aftermarket services. Ocean resources development is a new field that FURUNO SINGAPORE is expected to contribute to, both offshore and onshore with its comprehensive knowledge in system integration solutions. FURUNO SINGAPORE aims to expand from the Southeast Asian market and increase its presence in South Korea, China and Japan from hereon.
