As announced in our initial report dated June 30, 2025, a server managed by our company was subject to unauthorized access by a third party.
Upon recognizing the unauthorized access, we immediately established an emergency response headquarters and, in collaboration with an external cybersecurity firm, have been working diligently to investigate the incident, assess the damage, and implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
Our internal business systems continue to operate normally, and there has been no impact on our business activities.
Although the investigation is ongoing, we would like to share the findings as of July 14 and the current status of our response.
We sincerely apologize once again for the inconvenience and concern this incident has caused to all affected parties.

No unauthorized access to servers related to product development, manufacturing, or cloud services has been confirmed. There has been no impact on the use of Furuno Group products or cloud services.

Response Status
We have already shut down the affected server and blocked access from the IP segment used in the unauthorized access. We continue to investigate the scope of potentially leaked information (personal and business-related) and its impact.
We have begun discussions with potentially affected customers to explain the situation and coordinate future actions.
For Furuno Group employees whose personal information may have been leaked, we are contacting them individually. For those affiliated with external partner companies, we are also providing explanations to their respective employers (dispatch or outsourcing companies).
We are investigating the cause of the unauthorized access and considering appropriate countermeasures with advice from external cybersecurity experts. In parallel, we are monitoring social media and the dark web to prevent secondary damage. As of now, there is no evidence of related information being disseminated or circulated.
We have reported the incident to the Hyogo Prefectural Police, the Personal Information Protection Commission, and the Kinki Bureau of Telecommunications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. (Some of the potentially leaked information related to specific customers in the Marine Equipment Division falls under the confidentiality of communications in telecommunications business.)
As of July 14, no secondary damage such as unauthorized use or impersonation has been confirmed. However, we ask all concerned parties to remain vigilant and not respond to suspicious calls or emails.
We will continue to investigate the cause, identify the scope of impact, and consider necessary countermeasures. We will promptly report any new findings or measures and keep you updated on the situation.
